Computer technology enables the reproduction of an image and its transformation in endless varieties. Digital printing offers immediacy and availability. Repainting the original work allows for a renewed encounter between the artist and the original completed image: an opportunity to reopen, explore and even change the initial experience in a second creative dialogue. Although derivative, the repaint maintains the singularity of an original painting.
