Career Summary:

Johanan’s painting career began at the age of 8 in Montreal Canada where he was born and raised. In addition to the production of award-winning, multiform tapestries and acrylic paintings, marketed both domestically and internationally, and which have appeared in numerous individual and group exhibitions, Johanan has been acting extensively in local film, television, TV commercials and theatre, and his first appearance on stage was at the age of 12.

Film appearances have included character roles in the following full-length features: “Zaya”, award-winning “Under Western Eyes”, “Scar”, and others.

TV appearances in leading roles included: “The Unbelievable” – 12 episode series syndicated in Asia, “In Focus” Educational TV program in English which was distributed to high schools nationwide. “Deadly Money” prime-time soap opera series which has been running successfully for 5 seasons, “Oceanarium” – a multimedia spectacle syndicated in Israel, Malaysia, Australia and Hawaii.

Lead roles in the TV Dramas: “Caine”, “The Bench”.

TV guest appearances on the following shows: Sefi Rivlin, Mendel and Gurstein, Children’s shows – “Bandana Jones”.

Appeared in Commercials for: Tadiran, Flic, Scitex (a 3-part infomercial which received an award), as well as an appearance in the “Carlo” (yogurt campaign) commercial directed by Ollie Meyer of Meyer Studios in London.

Theatre appearances: “Art”, “Caine”, “Naked Man With a Red Coat (Dance Theater) as well as other appearances too numerous to note in the framework of a summary.
